Before we look at our art works we need to ask one question. What is art?
Art Noun 1. The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. 2. The various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music, literature, and dance.
Creativity in our Art Works
As the definition states, art is part of a creative process. What might seem like art to you may not seem like art to others. Creativity isn’t something you can learn. We all have a level of creativity, some of us can translate it into other mediums. People who look at art will have their own interpretation of its meaning and that is fine. Art is for everyone to enjoy.
Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Computer, Inc., once said:
“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while.
Our art works are our creative thoughts translated into metal and glass. The colours, textures and shapes all work together in our thought processes. The culmination is our final art work.
Our art can be seen throughout this website and also on our exhibition page . To find out about our individual artworks take a look at Glass Art by Ann Beacham or Metal Art by Adrian Beacham.
“You can’t use up creativity. The more the you use, the more you have.” –Maya Angelou
